Summer is hotter with Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion, Schick, & Nuffnang

My ideal Nuffnang summer is summer spent learning new things.

Throughout the year, I have accumulated a list of things-to-learn. But I never really got the chance to enrol in classes or self-learn these stuff since school had been so hectic. Since summer is the less busy time of the year for students like me, I find it as the perfect opportunity to go out there and learn what I have to learn!

1. Culinary

I always am on the eating side of culinary rather than the cooking, but this summer, I ought to explore how good food is really made. I specifically want to learn how to make dessert and sweets, just because they seem more complex and more delicious.

2. Web Coding

It’s a necessary skill, believe it or not, in our day and age. Everyone is online and searching for things on Google. One of the sure ways to grow your business is to bring it online.

3. Japanese

A third language is also a necessary skill to learn, especially with the world getting smaller. Since my stay in Japan, I have barely practiced my Japanese, and this summer, I promise to improve on it.

How bout you? What are the things you have yet to learn this summer?

Speaking of summer, don’t forget to include your summer pals in our plans: Shick (Free your skin.) and Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion (We’ve got you covered.)!

Philip Selway of Radio Head

Scooch on over Jesus. You’re not the only one who can walk on water now. :p

It’s called Liquid Mountainneering. Well, it’s so new and  so out of there that you can’t help but feel that it’s fake. I don’t have any proof to show for its authenticity but the important thing is, we want to believe that it’s real.

Vending machines are one of the greatest inventions ever to be made. You just get some spare change, feed it to the metal machine, stuff happens—clickyty clack—viola!~a glorious item befalls upon the weary adventurer.

Now what that item is just makes things more interesting coz you’ll never know you might need a coke, chocolate, or maybe spray paint cans from the nearest vendo.

T-Shirt + news + subscription (mail? do people still use this ancient process?) = T-post
Basic Idea: Mail Subscription that gives you a new shirt, off-beat news, and other whatnots every five weeks.

Las Casas Filipinas: Time Machine Vacation

Some of the old houses from the Spanish Era are being collected and preserved by Jerry Acuzar, an engineer and contractor, at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar owned by Mr. Acuzar which can be found in Bagak, Bataan.

It more or less a three-hour ride if you’re going from Quezon City: You take NLEX and then cross over to SCTEX where you have to take the Dinalupihan Exit. From there, you have to make your way to Bagak, Bataan. The good thing is, you’ll be passing through mostly main roads. The last 5 min. stretch to Las Casas though will be on a small town road (Although it is paved).

You’ll also pass by Mt Samat along the way where there’s a huge cross on the very top that’s been serving as a memorial for the death march during the Japanese Era. There’s an elevator that takes you to a viewing deck on top of the cross (36th floor I_I)

After parking, we went to the reception area of Las Casas. There’s a fee of 1000php for a day tour which includes a set lunch and snack (1200php for a buffet lunch). My favorite though was the snack—a refreshing Halo-Halo and Pepsi after a hot day!

The place is basically a resort. Their converting the old houses into hotel rooms (with aircon XD), vintage-looking bars, restaurants, and spa. This particular picture shows the hotel rooms they have. It’s based on the old buildings of old Escolta st. in Manila.

This is Cafe Marivent! We ate our free Halo-Halo w/ Pepsi here! I really like it here. It felt like going back in time as soon as we stepped inside.

This is the structure they plan on making their spa. And in case you’re wondering, Yes, they have a beach—fine white sand, water sports, and quad bikes!

This is an old…. I dunno actually. Just what is it? I kinda looks like it makes cheese.

This Taberna is just that! A good ‘ol pub for a good ‘ol town!

This building surprised me the most. It’s the old Fine Arts building in Manila of UP (University of the Phil)!

Interesting fact, the servants of before weren’t allowed to set foot in the main halls of the mansion so they had these small hallways outside where they had access to the whole house. They’d appear and disappear like ninja butlers.

Oh by the way, they have this great pool with a nearby manong that sells some sorbetes XD

This is a picture in the old Spanish Taverna. What doesn’t fit, can you guess? Put your skillz of observation to the test ~_^

If you want more info on the place, you should check out their website at: Las Casas Filipias .com
